TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT
Truth is a lifestyle!
Good morning sir!
Wow! We’re on day 19! Only two more to go. I appreciate you taking the time to open and read these devotions. I hope that the Holy Spirit has encouraged you through them. Let’s invite Him now: Lord, I know that You delight to set your truth deep in my spirit. So come into the hidden places of my heart and teach me wisdom!” Psalm 51:6 TPT Amen!
Not too long ago my nephew was graduating from the Air Force Academy. It was quite an experience to be on that famous campus to celebrate with him. But one of the most surprising things that I saw were all the quotes that were painted on the walls of the dormitories.
Here’s a few:
TO GIVE ANYTHING LESS THAN YOUR BEST, IS TO SACRIFICE THE GIFT.
HONOR: IF YOU NEED IT DEFINED, YOU DON’T HAVE IT.
‘HONESTY IS MORE THAN NOT LYING. IT IS TRUTH TELLING, TRUTH SPEAKING, TRUTH LIVING AND TRUTH LOVING.’ J.E. FAUST
That last one, for me, was most striking. Seems to endorse strongly what Pastor Paul, spoke about, during our retreat. IF we abide in His word, we will be His truth loving, truth telling, and truth living disciples and as a consequence, we will know Him, The Truth, and we will live in real freedom!!! And then, no-one or nothing can enslave us. And prayers like this one will become our normal daily life style: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer! Psalm 19:14 Amen!
